Epidemic prevention measures of Kinmen National Park Headquarters and Kinmen County Government are consistent- slight opening but indoor spaces still closed

With the COVID-19 epidemic easing in Taiwan, on July 8 2021, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced slight relaxation of alert level 3 measures. Taking into account the national park environment’s characteristics and epidemic prevention requirements, after discussion with the county government, it was decided to maintain the existing restrictions of alert level 3 in the national park and to keep indoor spaces closed for the time being so that epidemic prevention measures of the Headquarters and county government are consistent.

The CECC announced alert level 3 will be maintained until July 26. The Headquarters asks visitors to continue to follow the restriction of a maximum of five people gathering indoors and 10 outdooors, wear a facemask, wash hands frequently and maintain social distancing. Also, for epidemic prevention, car park capacity has been reduced to 40% of original capacity. The Headquarters will carry out rolling review according to local conditions.

During the epidemic prevention period, the Headquarters has carried out maintenance on the various halls to raise service quality and has also enhanced the education and training of interpreters to upgrade their service capability; a project to construct a car park and access road at the Ship-shaped Fortress has also been carried out to provide better service.

People are invited to visit Kinmen National Park when restrictions are lifted. Apologies for any inconvenience during this period
