Cheng Jui-chang becomes new director of Kinmen National Park Headquarters

The director of Kinmen National Park Tseng Wei-hung has been honorably transferred to the position of director of Yangmingshan National Park. The position of director of Kinmen National Park has been filled by current deputy director Cheng Jui-chang; the position of deputy director has been filled by the deputy director of Yangmingshan National Park, Yang Jin-Jen. The handover for these positions took place at the Public Construction Commission, MOI on May 3, 2021. The appointees took up their positions immediately after the ceremony.

Cheng said that he has been posted to Kinmen on two occasions in the past and has  deep feelings for it. In future, he will lead colleagues to work together for Kinmen, with serving Kinmen locals as the prerequisite, following conservation core values, listening to the voices of locals, enhancing partnerships and looking to develop the national park according to the original intentions and ideas. He hopes that various circles on Kinmen can continue to offer advice and support.

Cheng Jui-chang graduated from the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation of Chung-hsing University and has previously served at Kenting, Yushan, Xue-ba and other National Oarks as well as being the secretary and deputy director of Kinmen National Park HQ. He has extensive experience in national park administration and is adept at national park planning and operation.

Yang Jin-Jen is a graduate of the Institute of Geology of National Taiwan University and has previously served in the headquarters of Yangmingshan, Xue-ba, Taijiang and other national parks as well as being deputy director of Yangmingshan National Park HQ.
