World Class Film Festival Visits Kinmen Free Viewing at Zhongshanlin Visitor Center From August 1

Known as the Green Oscars, the Wild Screen Film Festival has become a must-view event for many people. To give more viewers a chance to watch the films f this festival, National Kinmen Park Headquarters will show its films August 1-15 at the 2nd Audio-Visual Room at Zhongshanlin Visitor Center. Showings will be at 10:00 Monday-Sunday with an extra 14:00 showing on Saturday and Sunday, with 20 showings in all. Those wanting to attend should register online or sign up on the reserve list onsite. There is also a point collecting activity, with one point awarded for viewing one film; collect more than 5 points to receive a souvenir; collect over 15 points to receive a fine souvenir.

The Headquarters stated that the UK’s Wild Screen Film Festival is the world’s largest ecological film festival and more than 40 countries have participated. This event is jointly organized by the Public Construction Commission of the Ministry of the Interior, Wild View Taiwan Film Festival and Taiwan’s national parks and will tour Taiwan for one year, featuring 20 ecological documentaries. The festival focuses on biodiversity, including the efforts of various countries to protect biodiversity and also revealing the increasing seriousness of problems faced such as habitat destruction, endangered species, climate change, environmental pollution and invasive species.

Families, students and ordinary people are invited to view the films. The festival includes 20 outstanding ecological documentaries: Planet Earth 2: Cities, One Strange Rock: Home, Save the Orangutan, Blue Planet 2: Coral Reef, Attenborough and the Giant Elephant, Naked Molerat - Nature's Weirdest Superhero, Monkeys: An Amazing Animal Family - Asia, Garden in the Sky, Mysteries of the Rainforest , Among Grizzlies: Living with Wild Bears in Alaska, Deep Ocean -Lights in the Abyss, Mountain: Life at the Extreme - Rockies, Nature: Super Hummingbirds, Wild Tales from the Village, Hotel Armadillo, The Tigers of Scotland, Ghost of the Mountains, Toad People, Earth-One Amazing Day and Point of No Return.
