Mashan Tunnel, Nanshantou Tunnel and Qionglin Yangzhuolou Tunnel to reopen from June 30, 2020

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the early days of the epidemic, taking into account that Mashan Tunnel, Nanshantou Tunnel and Qionglin Yangzhuolou Tunnel (a combat tunnel) are enclosed spaces, they were temporarily closed on January 30, 2010

In light of the recent easing of the epidemic, in accordance with the Central Epidemic Command Center’s Epidemic prevention New Sports Life Program (Ministry of the Interior’s opening handling principles) of May 22, Kinmen National Park Headquarters carried out assessment and it was decided to reopen the three aforementioned tunnels from June 1, 2020.

Also, the Headquarters stated that temperature checks and real name registration apply for visitors to all the park’s indoor sites and that environmental cleaning will be enhanced, seats separated by empty seats in multimedia rooms, and social distancing (1.5 meters), wearing of facemasks and other control measures will still be advocated. Visitors are requested to follow the regulations of the Central Epidemic Command Center.
