To welcome the February 28th Incident continual holiday, February 26-28 additional showings will be simultaneously given at the multimedia rooms of Zhongshan Forest Visitor Center and Rushan Visitor Center for three days in a row, with three showings of the week’s selected film given every day (10:30/14:30/15:30,)with an extra showing of the Kinmen National Park HQ ecology film at 11.30. Everyone is invited to view the films with family and friends and care about global ecology together.
Kinmen National Park HQ said that the Construction and Planning Agency of the Ministry of the Interior has continued to hold the National Park WildView Taiwan Film Festival together with WildView Taiwan, introducing 21 “green Oscar” nominated and award winning nature films, introducing the films to Taiwanese society using a public benefit method to remind people of the beauty of nature.
To encourage people to take part in the festival, after viewing films they can take part in a stamp collecting activity and can receive a sun bird mug mat , Kinmen National Park souvenir hat, Kinmen bird change purse, Kinmen bird mug, Eurasian otter mini building blocks and other limited edition gifts. People who watch films during the February 28th holiday who then leave a “like” on the HQ’s FB fan page and leave a comment about the festival on their own FB page can receive one DVD produced by the HQ. The first 30 people to enter during the holiday will also be presented with an exclusive activity facemask.
The HQ said that since showings began on January 29, the public response has been good and, to date, 716 people have watched 78 film showings, with some WorldView fans watching every showing. Even in the recent cold weather it was moving to see many WildView fans still coming to watch the films.
