This green tourism cycle tour around Kinmen has been held by Kinmen National Park for 10 years, and every year it brings cycling enthusiasts from all over to ride around Kinmen together. Last year,Kinmen National Park HQ was forced to cancel the event due to the pandemic. This year (2022), to avoid the risk posed by large-scale gatherings while still promoting green tourism, there have been some adjustments to the way the event is being run so that visitors may continue to experience the beauty of Bicycle Shangri-La. Each session now consists of three days of cycling with professional guides. This will allow visitors to gain a deeper sense of the beauty of Kinmen’s traditional villages, the culture of simple island life, the might of the battlefield and the natural scenery.

Kinmen National Park HQ has extended the sessions to three days, which broadens the scope of the trip and allows for more profound experiences. The event provides bicycles free of charge and is led by professional guides who give an in-depth tour. The registration fee is NT$500 per person, and includes a cycling jersey, a souvenir and lunch for the three days of the ride. There is also a support car that follows, regularly providing drinking water and replenishing supplies. If staying in a traditional B&B provided by Kinmen National Park, each guest also gets a NT$500 discount. We sincerely hope all you cycling enthusiasts will come with us on this great journey.

For the Kinmen National Park 2022 Bicycle Shangri-La eco-tour, eight sessions of 3 days will be held throughout the year.
