Applications open for the Kinmen National Park and Nature Fun Outdoor Adventure Camp – families sign up and take part!

As the COVID-19 pandemic gradually comes to an end and the summer vacation approaches, moms and dads are thinking about where to take their kids for some fresh air. Sign up now to this outdoor adventure collaboration between Kinmen National Park and Nature Fun, experience the outdoors and enter nature with Nature Fun ecology educators Huang Yi-feng and Wu Zun-xian. Come join us on this summertime family experience!

This year the “Nighttime Adventure” and “Discover Zhongshan Forest” activities will take place in Zhongshan Forest, with two dates for each activity. Parents and kids will get close to nature together, maximizing the children’s potential through experiential learning and having fun.

The “Nighttime Adventure” will take place in the evening of August 6th and 8th. Children will first be taught the techniques and methods of nighttime observation indoors so that they can find animals in the dark, then the fun will continue outdoors where they will explore the mysteries of nature at night.

“Discover Zhongshan” part will take place on August 7th and 9th. In the morning the students will be taught how to observe nature through fun indoor learning, teaching them the joy of discovery. In the afternoon outdoor exploration session, the kids will collect natural objects found outdoors in their personalized treasure box, and at the end there will be a show and tell where they can share their findings.

Zhongshan Forest has rich and diverse plant and animal ecology which is well suited to carrying out nature observation and environmental study. As well as allowing children to get close to nature, entering Zhongshan Forest can awaken the five senses through exploration and study, and by learning together, parents and children can get re-acquainted with the natural elements of life. Come and enjoy family time together in Zhongshan Forest and create unforgettable memories.

Online registration for these activities opens at 9am on Monday, July 25. All families are welcome, and a maximum of 20 family groups will be enrolled for each session. Kinmen National Park HQ requests that participants comply with pandemic legislation, if you have any questions you are welcome to ask our course advisor Miss Chen who can be contacted on 082-313182.
