Kinmen National Park Headquarters, National Park Service organized the 2023 Lunar New Year Environmental Education Activities" and the public participated enthusiastically

To welcome the Lunar New Year of 2023, let the public understand Kinmen’s humanities and battles and other resources, and enhance the public’s knowledge of conservation, Kinmen National Park Headquarters, National Park Service (The Headquarters) handled five sessions of three Lunar New Year environmental education activities, including one "Lieyu Battlefield Secret Tour", two "Taiwu Mountain 12 Wonders Interpretation and Guide Activity", and two "Day Tour in Qionglin". The public participated enthusiastically and spent a Lunar New Year full of knowledge together.

The Headquarters stated that this event invited professional lecturers to lead the public through on-site tours to give people close contact with these cultural assets and historical battle sites. In the afternoon of January 27th (Friday), teacher Hong Ching-chang was invited to interpret the Lieyu Houtou settlement, the camps around Qilin Mountain and related military history; in the afternoon of January 28th (Saturday), teachers Huang Chen-liang and Chen Bing-rong were invited to explain the 12 wonders of Taiwu Mountain . On the afternoon of January 29th (Sunday), teachers Lee Jun-sheng and Hu Chen-bin were invited to explain the cultural landscape and settlement history of Qionglin. Today’s debut activity was teacher Hong Ching-chang’s “Lieu Battlefield Secret Area Tour”. Under the guidance of Teacher Hong, many military secret areas and bunkers were visited. Participants agreed that Kinmen’s precious battle historical sites should be well preserved and maintained.

The Headquarters is very grateful to the public for their willingness to visit these precious local resources during the Lunar New Year holiday.
