The main structure of Jiugong tunnel is composed by granite gneiss. Because the tunnel was excavated with explosives, parts of the rock walls inside the tunnel exist with potential danger. There are also sporadic rock falls from time to time. The center has therefore prepared safety helmets at the entrance of Jiugong tunnel and Loutsu tunnel. Visitors are requested to wear the helmet while entering the tunnel for one’s own safety.
