Ministry of the Interior, National Parks Service, Kinmen National Park Headquarters Announces 2024 Second Rental Tender for Traditional Buildings and Bicycle Story Museum

The Kinmen National Park Headquarters has announced that the 2024 Second Rental Tender for Bed & Breakfast and Retail Operations is now open. The tender period will run until 5:00 PM on September 2nd. Interested parties should take advantage of this opportunity. The properties available for tender include four distinctive buildings: Front Shuitou No. 127, Oucuo No. 64, Shanhou No. 48, and the Bicycle Story Museum. An on-site tender preview will be held on August 21st (Wednesday). Those interested must call in advance to make a reservation.

 

Property Descriptions and Suitable Usage:

  1. Front Shuitou No. 127: This newly restored Minnan-style building, completed in 2024, features a unique architectural style, "one-story with four side eaves and left-wing dragon." Located in the Shuitou settlement near Shuitou Harbor, this property serves as a bed & breakfast, retail space, and cultural and creative office. It exemplifies the prosperity and distinctive culture of the area and is a valuable example of Minnan-style architecture. Its proximity to the harbor allows visitors to enjoy a stroll through the settlement while experiencing the rich local cultural landscape.
  2. Oucuo No. 64: This traditional Minnan-style building was restored in 2018 and also features the "one-story with four side eaves" architectural style. Situated in the Oucuo settlement near Oucuo Beach, Zhai Mountain Tunnel, and Guganglou (Old Tower), this property is ideal for retail, cultural, and creative office spaces. Its strategic location near popular attractions makes it an excellent choice for developing tourism-related businesses, particularly those that integrate with the local cultural and creative industries.
