Kinmen National Park Joins 2025 Kinmen County Environmental Cleanup Week Oath-taking Ceremony, Uniting for a Cleaner Home to Welcome the Lunar New Year
To welcome the Lunar New Year with a fresh start, Kinmen County launched the 2025 Environmental Cleanup Week from January 17 to 24, 2025. It held a county-wide oath-taking ceremony on the morning of January 17 in each township. Kinmen National Park Headquarters (the HQ) under the National Park Service of the Ministry of the Interior, participated by dispatching staff to join the cleanup launch events in various townships. In addition, the HQ called on guesthouse and shop operators within the park to support the cleanup week by tidying both indoor and outdoor areas, jointly maintaining a clean environment in preparation for the New Year.
The HQ intensified cleaning efforts at all of its facilities, including exhibition halls, service stations, public restrooms, and surrounding areas. Staff and guesthouse/shop operators were also encouraged to participate actively by keeping their offices and business premises clean and tidy.
It emphasized that maintaining environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility. Through the cleanup activities and oath-taking ceremony, the goal was to raise public awareness of the importance of environmental protection. The HQ expressed its gratitude to all staff members, cleaning personnel, and business operators who participated in the event. It also called on the public to cooperate with township sanitation teams during the Lunar New Year period to ensure proper waste disposal. We can create a clean and healthy living environment and welcome the Lunar New Year with the most beautiful version of Kinmen Island.
