Kinmen National Park Calls on Visitors to Bring Urges Visitors to Bring Their Own Toiletries under Green Travel Guidelines

To align with the Ministry of Environment's new regulations for the hospitality industry, Kinmen National Park Headquarters (the HQ) under the National Park Service of the Ministry of the Interior, announces that starting January 1, 2025, its guesthouses will no longer provide toiletries in containers smaller than 180 ml, nor will they display personal hygiene items. These include single-use items such as combs, shower caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and shaving cream.

The HQ stated that it continues to promote green, ecological, and sustainable tourism. Its guesthouses are eco-friendly and follow the Ministry of Environment's sustainable lodging policies, working together to advocate for a net-zero and green lifestyle. It reminds travelers to check their luggage before departure and to bring their own toiletries. If needed, lodgers can still request items from the accommodation providers. By joining the effort to reduce plastic use while traveling, we can help alleviate the planet's burden and make our journeys more meaningful.
