Zhongshanlin Children’s Recreational Facilities Open in Kinmen National Park on July 11

The Zhongshanlin Children’s Recreational Facilities established by Kinmen National Park will open on July 11, 2020. The special feature of the facilities is that design includes natural ecology. Apart from the necessary manmade floor, close to nature elements and safe materials are mainly used.

The family facilities include a slide, spring seesaw, kiddie rides, composite swing, balance bridge, suspension bridge and wooden climbing frame with  cushioned floor and  family grassy area, allowing children to play to their hearts content on the grass and on the play facilities. There are also basic seats for people accompanying the children to rest on or view the surrounding scenery, family interaction or where families can observe  the plants and natural ecology together.

When the facilities were planned, both protecting the natural ecology and safety were taken into account, to reduce the chance of danger for users in normal use. The floor of some of the facilities uses a soft material to cushion falls and features Kinmen’s star animals the otter and  lantern, which is often seen in Zhongshanlin. SGS TAIWAN LTD was invited to inspect the facilities and SGS Children’s Playground Safety Inspection certification was received, meeting the CNS12642(2016) Public Playground Equipment national standard. Facilities are safe while also meeting the actual use needs of users. There are also instruction signs in Chinese and English. Kinmen National Park Headquarters sincerely invites everyone to have fun on the facilities while following the safety guidelines.
