To ensure tourists have a safe and enjoyable recreational space, the Kinmen National Park Headquarters, National Park Service, has undertaken structural reinforcement, exhibition replacement, and pipeline repairs at the Lieyu Hujingtou Battle Museum. These projects have been successfully completed, and the museum is set to reopen on January 7, 2020 (Saturday). Tourists are encouraged to visit and explore.
The museum primarily showcases the accomplishments of the Lieyu troops in the Battle of Da Erdan and the August 23 Artillery Battle. It includes videos of military drills, reviews of military history, and displays of firearms and weapons. Additionally, there is an internal observation platform equipped with telescopes for viewing Xiamen and the coastal scenery. Visitors can also shop for souvenirs at the museum store, and dedicated personnel offer interpretation services. Everyone is invited to visit and explore this fascinating museum.
